Eating & Drinking

Peterborough has a bustling, cosmopolitan city centre, with lots of leading bars and restaurants to explore.

The city centre plays host to many of the most popular names in dining, including Wildwood, Carluccios, Pizza Express, Nandos and Wagamamas, but also to smaller restaurants like dessert lounge, Tamu.

For those with finer tastes, Peterborough hosts a wide range of fine dining restaurants, including Prevost, which was recognised in the Michelin Guide after less than six months of opening.

There are also many places to grab a drink in the city. The Argo Lounge offers a wide variety of drinks in a quirky urban setting, while Charters Bar offers a venue on the lower deck of a historic vessel, offering around 500 guest ales a year.

The Peterborough Beer Festival is a highlight in the city’s calendar, the five-day event on the bank of the River Nene is one of the largest festivals in the country. It boasts more than 350 real ales, numerous bottled beers from across the world, and a wide selection of ciders, perries and meads.
