Theatres & Arts

The theatre and arts scene in Peterborough is vibrant and diverse.

The Key Theatre is an intimate 94-seat venue in the heart of the city that frequently plays host to nationally touring shows, dance, comedy, live music and much more. The theatre also puts on its own shows including a Christmas pantomime and productions throughout the year.

For something a bit different, The Stamford Shakespeare Company presents an annual season of plays in June, July and August. These are performed at Rutland Open Air Theatre in the grounds of historic Tolethorpe Hall, a short 30 minute drive out of Peterborough.

Charity, Vivacity also runs a host of theatre and arts events throughout the year, including the heritage festival and the Tudor Peterborough Walk.
